Mixed results on week 3 for Mitcham juniors

Mitcham under12s enjoyed their first win of the season on May 25th. The juniors hit 96-7 at Sinjungrammarians and secured a 19-run friendly win.

Muhammad topped score with a season's best 32 not out. In reply Dhruv and Leah were the pick of the bowlers as they restricted the home side to 77-3. This first win will give the youngsters confidence

The under14s suffered their first league loss of 2018 as the mighty Spencer came to town and won by 6 wickets. The browncaps won the toss and started well; at 111-2 from 12 overs a huge total looked possible. But Spencer's bowlers tightened their grip and the last 8 overs went for just 18-5. In reply the first 10 overs went for just 50 runs. But a brilliant 42 not out from Hollywood saw the Earlsfield boys home with 6 wickets and 3 overs to spare. Zubair was Mitcham's star taking 2 for 16 after hitting 60. He has batted in every one of the u14s 60 overs this season and scored 158 runs at an average of 79!
