It is welcome that Phoenix Grp Investments Ltd are now talking to us about their plans for the Burn Bullock site which includes our pavilion and equipment shed. But it is far from clear that their proposed redesign of our pavilion is adequate given that it considerably reduces the footprint of the Cricket Club.
As it stands their proposal has not been agreed in any way by our Club Executive.
There is also still no clear path to resolving the issue of long-term tenure of the pavilion and Phoenix have not moved from their previous statement that they will pay nothing towards the pavilion development.

We await with interest the outcome of the LB Merton Design Review Panel. But the future of cricket remains at significant risk.
