From 1pm on Sunday 16th June we will have our first Ladies six-a-side festival on the Mitcham Cricket Green. We will be inviting other Surrey Clubs and hope that we will attract other players to come along and have some cricket fun for the afternoon. Individuals wanting to play will be organised into teams. The games will be played with soft ball (incrediball) and last 10 overs (usually around 30 minutes), so there will be plenty of cricket - probably finishing around 5pm. From 10.30am on Sunday 23rd June the Green will see the return of our annual Colts 6-a-side festival. Open to boys and girls from 6-16 we will organise the juniors into mixed age teams to compete for the Trophy. Cricket continues all day, finishing with the final around 4pm. There are also awards of caps for best batter and best bowler. Games are played with incrediball (soft ball) so there is no need for helmets, pads or other protective gear. Its fast, furious and fun. There will be refreshments for players and spectators so we hope that we attract a good crowd. Come and join the fun.
