To encourage girls participation in cricket, Mitcham CC is delighted to be hosting a girls only Summer School in late July on the historic Mitcham Cricket Green CR4 4LA.

Dynamos is a structured cricket programme for children aged 8-11. It supports young people to develop cricket skills while having fun. It is played with soft ball and light equipment. The young people also get access to a bank of fun online activities via the Dynamos App.

Our girls only summer school will consist of 3 morning sessions early in the school summer break and run from 10am to 1pm on 27-29 July. Each session will be 3 hours long and combine warm up, skills development activities and a game - covering the same mix of energisers and practice games as the weekly Dynamos programme – with appropriate breaks for hydration and snacks to keep up the energy levels of players. Our Friday session will be followed by a BBQ with family and friends and the presentation of awards.

The programme will be delivered by experienced qualified coaches – including the Club’s female coach Julia who is also the captain of the Ladies section of the Club. All our coaches are DBS checked and have training in First Aid.
