Mitcham Cricket Club is delighted to celebrate an outstanding achievement by six of its Junior players, all of whom have been recognised with selection or invitations to prestigious county and foundation development programmes.

Sophie and Edie have both been selected for the Surrey Girls squads — Edie at Under 10 and Sophie at Under 12 level. This is a fantastic accomplishment that recognises their talent, dedication, and strong performances throughout the season. Representing Surrey at county level is a significant milestone and reflects the continued growth and success of girls’ cricket at Junior Mitcham.

The club is also proud to announce that Joseph and Soham have been selected for the MCC Foundation Hubs, a highly respected programme designed to identify and develop promising young cricketers. Their selection is a testament to the hard work they have shown in training and matches, as well as their commitment to improving their game.

In addition, Mabel and Iris have been invited to join the Surrey Invitational Programme as part of the Surrey Cricket Foundation Junior Courses. This invitation recognises their potential and progress and provides another exciting opportunity to develop their skills within a high-quality coaching environment.

These selections and invitations highlight not only the individual achievements of the players but also the supportive coaching environment and clear development pathway at Junior Mitcham Cricket Club. All six players have demonstrated outstanding attitude and determination, and their success is thoroughly deserved.
