Mitcham Cricket Club is delighted to announce that preparations for the 2026 cricket season are now officially underway, with the Men’s teams having begun pre-season training at the historic Mitcham Cricket Green.
Founded in 1685 and proudly recognised as the oldest cricket ground in the world, Mitcham Cricket Club enters the new season with strong momentum, renewed ambition, and growing excitement across the club.
Pre-season training sessions have already started, focusing on fitness, skills development, and team building as the club prepares for another competitive year across multiple league divisions. With teams competing at several levels, Mitcham CC continues to offer opportunities for players of varying experience, from seasoned cricketers to those returning to the game.
As part of its 2026 plans, Mitcham Cricket Club is actively recruiting new players to strengthen its Men’s squads, including league and friendly teams. The club welcomes players of all backgrounds and abilities who are eager to be part of a supportive, historic, and forward-looking cricket community.
“We’re incredibly excited about the year ahead,” said a club spokesperson. “Pre-season has started strongly, the atmosphere around the club is positive, and we’re always keen to welcome new players who want to develop their cricket and enjoy being part of something special.”
