Our Club is a membership organisation which operates under a written Constitution. This governs how operating decisions are made on behalf of the membership. It also describes the roles and responsibilities of the Executive Committee and key sub committees.

The Constitution has had many revisions in the long history of our Club. The current version was significantly revised in 2012 to bring it into line with the recommended England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) format. Any proposed amendments are notified to the membership in advance of a General Meeting and only adopted if agreed by the members present.

At last November's AGM some amendments were agreed to this key document. Some were minor e.g. amending language to bring up to date references to ECB policies.

There was a more significant set of amendments agreed to Appendix 2 which governs the operation of the Cricket Committee. The amendments aim to assist this important committee with carrying out its responsibilities for senior team selection through the season.
