Alleyn - 74 (17 overs)
Mitcham - 78-1 (13.4 overs)
Mitcham got back to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over an under-strength Alleyn XI.
Winning the toss Mitcham took the wickets of the Alleyn openers in the first two overs. Rizwan (1-7) and Mahad (2-10) taking early wickets. After Nathan (13), Luke (28) and Callum (7) put Alleyn on top at 61-4, in came Sami Abdul (5-12). He took 5 wickets for 9 runs in a devastating 16 ball spell which decimated the middle order. Not bad for a batsman who bowls a bit!! Best figures of the season for the under16s. Alleyn lost their last 6 wickets for 13 and were all out for 74 with 3 overs unused.
In reply Mitcham openers looked untroubled as they put on 48 in 9 overs before Faraz mistimed one to Raza (1-21) for a caught and bowled. In came skipper Bilal (16*) to add the extra runs to see the home side through with more than 6 overs to spare. Credit to Sufiyaan who batted beautifully for 40*.
Next up Banstead away.
