Welcome to the Mitcham CC Juniors - The Mitcham Colts

We have an active Colts section which meets on the Mitcham Cricket Green for practice every Sunday from the end of April until early September from 10am to noon. The Mitcham Cricket Green is opposite our pavilion which is at 4 Cricket Green, Mitcham, Surrey CR4 4LA.
We are a friendly club and are open to boys and girls from around 7 years of age. All abilities are welcome. Our Colts Administrator is David Bell who is also one of our coaches. Our officials are appropriately DBS checked. We have a number of qualified coaches who work with the juniors. All the coaches and officers of the Club are volunteers – we have no paid staff.

Colts benefit from a reduced club membership fees and these are currently at the very competitive rate of £40 a year - there is no additional cost for the Sunday training sessions for the whole season.

Our colts participate in matches against other clubs – we have teams at Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 playing in the Surrey NEC Colts League. League matches take place on Thursday and Friday evenings. Colts who represent the club in matches are expected to pay a match fee to contribute to the costs of balls etc. The club is linked to the Surrey Development programme and is able to nominate promising players for trials for the District and County Colts teams. We also have a strong record of our colts going on to represent the club in our senior sides.

Please note that:
- membership of the Club does not guarantee selection to play for Mitcham CC in matches.
- Parents are responsible for transporting their children to away matches.
- Parents are responsible for their children outside advertised training times.

If you would like more information about junior cricket at Mitcham CC, you can contact David on 07765 221650.

We encourage at least one adult from each junior member’s family taking out honorary (non-playing) membership of the Club (at the bargain price of £10 a year) – this gives you rights to be involved in decision making at the Club including voting at our AGM and standing for election as a Club officer. You can apply for honorary membership via the payment section of our website.
